Cages Within Cages

i did absolutely no hw today, but there wasnt much i should be doing,except I-search notes? science portfolio? nothing really. amazing. that never, ever happens. i slept in, had batting practice at HHS in the batting cage. The new helmets themselves are like cages tho. A girl got hit in the face at JV level last year, and it pushed through a rule where the helmets have to have masks... you can sort of see, but they fall forward, so i was propping the mask part up on my elbow when i was batting. not exactly helping...
then i went to the library and realize three of the books i'd found in the past week were ones Mr. G. had recommended. but i only like Pretties, which was ok. the rest are weird in an uninteresting way. ah well. i was able to read without thinking i should be looking for a reading journal.
and that's pretty much all that happened today. except a mathcounts test, which i got more than last time. but i'm still getting less than half right, and they always leave me... shaken? not sure of the world. i need to change how i think about them, but i can't. I would make sure my brother never does mathcounts, but he wouldnt even consider it ever, and he might actually be the sort of person who could deal with it if he did. it's weird...
